How did the b-day party go?

I believe that it is good wonderful to have fun at the celebrations for the deceased. I (personally) hope many friends will "dance in a red dress" to music at my memorials. I felt his spirit there with us, remembering, laughing and loving. His circles of friends and family are each one their own delights. It was a great connection, and the kind of memory I keep close in my heart. Sure, the singing Happy Birthday part was hard, but Beauty gave me wonderful cake next, that made it a little bit better!! I hope we have more opportunities to connect again, and thanks to Beauty for putting this together. Love Ellen

Thanks to Peter Siem who also planned the party and who contributed vital details--such as ordering that luscious German chocolate cake from Cafe Latte! Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to join together for the celebration of life--and also to those who were with us in spirit! Thanks to Ellen who crafted the popular party favors--dragonfly pins. Thanks to Mary Devitt who lead us in the happy birthday song (and who also brought TWO more cakes!). Thanks to Alex and Shelley who tore down the ugly Miller Lite banner that was covering a beautiful painting above the ledge where the cakes and the framed photos of Thomas were placed. Everyone appeared to be having a good time remembering Thomas and exchanging tales of life.
